Terms and conditions for school charter bookings.
Quotations
Quotations are valid for 14 days or 3 days if booking date is within the next 14 days. Where quotations have lapsed or late changes are requested a late administration fee ($35) may apply.
Once quote has been accepted any additional stops or time extensions may incur extra charges.

General
If this booking has been accepted please call the office mobile 7 days prior to confirm.
A deposit is genarally not required for school charters unless we specifically ask for one.
Full payment is due 3 business days after the scheduled trip unless other arrangements have been made (See school accounts below).
School excursions
Cancellations for excursions can be made without charge provided it is made by 4.00pm the day prior to booking date.
Cancellation fee within 48 hours on day of excursion is not applicable if rebooked otherwise a cancellation fee of 50% of quoted price may apply.
School sports days and carnivals
Cancellations for School sports wet weather will require a minimum 2 hours’ notice without charge.
The late cancellation fee is $150 per driver/bus or 50% of quoted charter price if bus has departed the yard.
Cancellation fee on day of excursion is not applicable if rebooked otherwise a cancellation fee of 50% of quoted price may apply.
Delays in boarding on return pickups resulting in late return of the charter will incur a pro-rata charge of $150 per hour charged in 30 minute increments.
General
Customer Service
Austrek Tours takes pride in providing a safe, clean and reliable transportation service and utilises feedback to improve service delivery. Compliments and complaints are recorded on our record system. Any complaints must be made promptly in writing by email. Complaints received more than 30 days after the date of travel will not be accepted. Any complaints regarding the condition of the vehicle supplied should be supported by photographic evidence.
Food and Drink
No food or drink (water excepted) to be consumed on the bus.
Damage and Graffiti
We reserve the right to charge for any graffiti removal, excessive soiling or rubbish removal or damage to buses made by the Hirer or the passengers. In the event of vehicle damage or circumstances requiring additional cleaning, the Hirer agrees to pay the additional costs incurred.
Lost Property
We take no responsibility for any items left on our buses. Any items of lost property found are recorded by the driver on our record system. Any items that are found will be kept in our office for 30 days for safekeeping. After this period, we reserve the right to donate or dispose of the items accordingly. We will always endeavour to notify the school that property is being held. If you would like to contact us regarding a lost item, please call us on Mobile: 0400 212 702.
Bus Monitoring
Our buses are fitted with tracking systems for your safety. On the day of your charter, Austrek Tours has the option to provide you with vehicle monitoring for the benefit of Patrons and thier families via a 3rd party mobile App. Please contact us for details.
School Accounts
Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is preferred via ED.connect. Schools will be invoiced on day of charter for payment within 30 days from the date of invoice. Government schools must provide a purchase order reference for accounts.
Private schools should provide contact details for their relevent accounts section.
Credit card payment payment options along with a unique payment reference will be provided to the Hirer on a Tax Invoice and is payable with 3 business days of charter.
Payments by credit card (Mastercard or Visa) can be accepted provided prior agreement has being made with us. A credit card processing fee up to 1.75% may be charged.
Should you wish to pay for the charter in advance please contact our staff to arrange an invoice.
Cancellation by the Operator
In the event of any emergency, riot, civil commotion, strike, lock out, stoppage or restraint of labour or the happening of any event over which the Operator has no control (including availability of drivers and buses, adverse weather and road conditions), the Operator may, by returning all money paid and without further or other liability, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
Sub-contractors
To avoid cancellations and in cases where we are unable to supply the required number of vehicles we may use other suitably accredited bus operators to perform some or all of the booked work.
